These terms explain how Cavioo works and what we each agree to when you use it. If anything is unclear, just ask us at [email protected].
About Cavioo
Cavioo is provided by [to be added before publication] (“Cavioo”, “we”, “us”), [to be added before publication]. Our full company details are in the Legal notice.
By creating an account or using Cavioo, you accept these terms, our Acceptable use policy and our Privacy policy. If you use Cavioo on behalf of a company, you accept them for that company.
What Cavioo does
Cavioo reviews the user experience of websites. You give us a website and describe a journey, such as “sign up and reach the checkout”. Our robot follows that journey in a browser, the way a first-time visitor would, and turns what it sees into a report with findings and scores.
Reports are produced automatically, so they can sometimes miss or misjudge something. A Cavioo score is our own measure of the experience, not a certification, for example of accessibility compliance. Please check important findings before acting on them.
Your account
- You need to be at least 18 to create an account.
- Please keep your sign-in details safe. You’re responsible for activity on your account.
- Each login is for one person. Anyone you invite to a project gets their own.
- If you think someone else has used your account, tell us straight away at [email protected].
Your audits
You’re responsible for using Cavioo in line with the law and each site’s own terms. Each time you start an audit, you agree to use Cavioo within our Acceptable use policy.
If a site’s owner asks us not to visit their site, or an audit doesn’t seem right for Cavioo, we may decline or stop it.
How the robot uses a site
The robot uses a site the way a visitor does: it browses pages, fills in forms with test details and, when your journey needs one, creates a test account with an email address and phone number that belong to Cavioo. It can also browse from the country you choose, so you see the local version of the site.
It never looks for security weaknesses and never gets past a login or paywall it hasn’t been given. When a site asks for a check meant for people, such as a captcha, the robot does not try to solve it: it asks you to complete it, or skips that step.
It never enters payment card or bank details and never pays: it stops at the payment step. It is also instructed not to place real orders or bookings, or to send messages, publish anything or invite anyone, unless your journey explicitly asks for it.
Anything you do yourself through the live view is your own action on that site.
Test accounts you give us
If your journey needs an account on the site, please give us a test account you control rather than a personal one. We only use those details to run your audits, and we hide them in our logs.
Your content and reports
What you give us (site addresses, journey descriptions, comments) and the reports we produce for you are yours to use. You allow us to store and process them to run Cavioo for you, including sending screenshots and page text to AI model providers for analysis.
Screenshots show other companies’ websites, whose content and brands belong to them. Use them in your own reviews; if you publish them, you may need the owner’s permission.
If you create a share link, anyone with the link can open that report, so only share it with people who should see it.
We may use what we learn across many audits, such as how often a check fails, to improve the robot and our scoring. We won’t publish your reports or tell anyone which sites you audit.
Plans, credits and payment
- An audit uses one credit for up to 25 screens: each distinct page or state the robot captures along the journey.
- A longer journey uses a second credit automatically from screen 26, up to 50 screens.
- If a journey needs more than 50 screens, the audit pauses and asks you before it uses a third credit, for up to a total of 75 screens. No audit uses more than three credits. If you don’t answer, it finishes there and uses no more credits.
- If you run out of credits during an audit, it pauses the same way and asks whether you want to buy one or finish there.
- The optional keyboard journey adds one credit to the normal audit. It runs separately using only keys, for up to 75 screens, with no further screen credits. Its result is kept and the extra credit is spent even when a keyboard barrier stops the task. If the keyboard journey cannot run at all, that extra credit is returned.
- The Free plan includes one free audit per account. It’s a trial, not a monthly allowance.
- Paid plans renew every month until you cancel, adding that month’s credits. Up to one month’s unused credits carry over; anything beyond that expires at renewal.
- Credit packs are bought once, and their credits don’t expire when your plan renews.
- Prices are in euros. Any tax is calculated at checkout based on where you are.
- Payments are handled by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number.
- You can cancel a plan at any time from Settings → Billing. It stays active until the end of the month you’ve paid for, and doesn’t renew after that.
When an audit doesn’t work
If an audit fails before it finishes, if you stop it before anything has been analysed, if it finishes without being able to score the site, or if we end it early because it reached the most analysis a single audit can use, you get back every credit it used, automatically.
If an audit finishes with a scored report, the credits it used are spent, even if some parts of the site couldn’t be reached or you chose to finish it early. The one exception is an audit we end early because it reached the most analysis a single audit can use: you get those credits back, as described above. The report shows how much of the site each check covered.
Your right to cancel a purchase (consumers)
If you live in the European Union and buy as a consumer (for yourself rather than for a business), you have 14 days from the purchase to cancel it without giving a reason.
When you pay, you ask us to make your credits available and start your audits straight away, and you confirm you understand that audits which have already run can’t be cancelled. So if you cancel within the 14 days, we refund the credits from that purchase you haven’t used yet, within 14 days and to the same payment method. Once every credit from a purchase has been used, that purchase can no longer be cancelled.
To cancel, write to [email protected] and tell us which purchase.
Availability and changes
We work hard to keep Cavioo running, but we can’t promise it will always be available or free of errors. Some sites block automated visits, and some journeys can’t be completed by a robot. We may improve, change or retire features; if we retire something you’ve paid for, we’ll tell you in advance and refund the part you can no longer use.
Our responsibility
If you’re a consumer, you keep all the rights consumer law gives you, and nothing in these terms reduces them.
If you use Cavioo for a business, we aren’t liable for indirect losses such as lost profits, sales or data, and our total liability in any 12 months is limited to what you paid us in those 12 months.
Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, for gross negligence or wilful misconduct, or for anything else the law doesn’t allow to be limited.
You’re responsible for how you use Cavioo and its reports, including any claim that arises from that use.
Closing your account
You can close your account at any time in Settings → Account, or by writing to [email protected]. You have 30 days to change your mind; after that we delete your data as described in our Privacy policy.
If an account breaks these terms or the Acceptable use policy, or doesn’t pay, we may suspend or close it. Where we can, we’ll let you know first and give you a chance to sort it out. If we close a paid account that hasn’t broken these terms, we refund the unused part.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms, for example when we add features or the law changes. For important changes we’ll tell you by email or in Cavioo at least 30 days before they apply, and you can cancel before then if you don’t agree. The date at the top shows the current version.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Spain, where Cavioo is based. If you’re a consumer, you also keep the protections of the country where you live, and you can bring a claim there.
If you use Cavioo for a business, disputes go to the courts where Cavioo is registered.
If something goes wrong, please write to us at [email protected] first. Most things can be sorted out by email.
Languages
These terms are available in English and Spanish, and both say the same thing. If the two versions ever differ, the one more favourable to you applies.
